Music Students: Hard at Work
I've had the fabulously fun opportunity to photograph some of my music students at school throughout the course of this year. It's been a great learning experience and I was thrilled to learn the school wants to hire me to shoot pictures for use on their website and for other marketing purposes.
The parents of these children have graciously allowed me the chance to use these images as I build my portfolio and business. I'm very appreciative of the trust they have placed in me - not only to teach their children, but to share these images with you.

More Snow
We've had what seems like non-stop snow since Friday afternoon. (The shots I posted earlier today are from the beginning of the storm on Friday.) Here are some shots from our adventure outside this afternoon:
A new edit I'm trying:
Still unsure as to whether I like it, but it might grow on me.

Thanksgiving
I was going back through some pictures and found some I hadn't posted from Thanksgiving morning:

M. is happy with his dad in this picture.

Not so much here.

He is the most hilarious thing when he cries. And I always take pictures of it. I know...I'm a mean aunt. But, it's a huge part of his cute little dramatic personality. And since I'm trying to capture that, I have to take the crying pictures too, right?
Thanks. I feel better. So does M.

Full disclosure on these next two shots...
My brother was TOTALLY goofing around when I took these. I had been taking pictures of G-Man and turned the camera on my brother. His modeling instinct kicked in and he started joking around with his facial expressions. Even though I know he was just having fun, I really like the way these two shots turned out. And I like them even more in black & white than I did in color.

We love our Christmas bulb walkway lights. So did the boys.

The S. Family, Part 1
Obviously, I'm prejudiced. They're my family. But I really love the way their pictures turned out. I'm having a hard time deciding which ones to post, so I'm posting all my favorites from the ones we picked out together.
Sure, I could post all my favorites in one post. But I figure, why not two posts? Then you'll come back around and see more! :)
Enjoy!

You are about to see one of my all-time favorite collages. Are you ready?

Love it.

S. Family Preview
Remember our cute cousins (and G-Man's adorable aunt) that came to visit last month? They came back for Thanksgiving and this time, my brother came along too. We were able to go back to the sawmill and get some shots of the entire family. It was cold, and some of the shots were a bit challenging, but we ended up with some great stuff.
I just finished designing their Christmas card (I ordered them last night, you guys! Watch for the UPS man!) and wanted to put up a quick preview of one of the poses I didn't use for the card.

Aren't they the cutest? I'll try to post their card after the holidays. Or after they mail them out. If you're getting one in the mail, you'll want to be surprised. :)

Mr. and Mrs. L + Family
I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get shots of the L parents. They are some of the best people I know - I hope you can see that in the pictures.
And finally, our last two family group setups. Enjoy the pictures, L Family! I had a great time shooting the pictures and editing them! And I'm thrilled that everyone is feeling better.

The L Kids
Only one more post after this one. What can I say? They're a beautiful family and I took a LOT of pictures.

Mr. C.
The lone boy of the L. Family, C. loves Dora the Explorer, climbing his rock wall, running around, playing with (and teasing) his sisters, and adores his aunt. He has a great smile and is a lot of fun.
And I couldn't decide which of these pictures I liked the best, so you get to see them all and decide for yourselves. Enjoy! I need to get to bed so I can get feeling better...
